“In, in, in (внутрь, внутрь, внутрь)!” he shouted, and cursed them for their delay (он кричал и проклинал их за задержку).
Four or five of them obeyed at once (четыре-пять /человек/ повиновались сразу же), two remaining on the road with the formidable beggar (двое остались на дороге со страшным нищим). There was a pause (была пауза = наступила тишина), then a cry of surprise, and then a voice shouting from the house (затем /раздались/ крик удивления и после голос закричал изнутри дома): —

“Ay, ay, sir!” answered two or three; and a rush was made upon the “Admiral Benbow,” the lantern-bearer following; and then I could see them pause, and hear speeches passed in a lower key, as if they were surprised to find the door open. But the pause was brief, for the blind man again issued his commands. His voice sounded louder and higher, as if he were afire with eagerness and rage.

I could hear their feet rattling up our old stairs (я мог слышать, как их ноги = башмаки протопали по нашим старым ступеням; to rattle — громыхать, греметь), so that the house must have shook with it (так, что /весь/ дом, должно быть, ходил ходуном от этого; to shake — сотрясать, дрожать, колебать). Promptly afterwards (вскоре после этого), fresh sounds of astonishment arose (свежие звуки удивления = новые удивленные голоса раздались; to arise — возникать; доноситься); the window of the captain’s room was thrown open with a slam (окно комнаты капитана было распахнуто с шумом) and a jingle of broken glass (и звоном разбитого стекла); and a man leaned out into the moonlight, head and shoulders (человек высунул /из окна/ под лунный свет голову и плечи), and addressed the blind beggar on the road below him (и обратился к слепому нищему /стоявшему/ на дороге внизу).

“We don’t see it here nohow (мы не видим их здесь совсем),” returned the man (ответил человек).
“Here, you below there, is it on Bill (эй, вы, там внизу, /посмотрите/, нет ли их у Билла)?” cried the blind man again.

At that, another fellow (при этом другой парень), probably him who had remained below to search the captain’s body (вероятно, тот, который остался внизу, чтобы обыскать тело капитана), came to the door of the inn (подошел к двери трактира). “Bill’s been overhauled a’ready (Билл обшарен уже; to overhaul — тщательно осмотреть, ревизовать; a’ready = already),” said he, “nothin’ left (ничего оставлено = все забрали; nothin’ = nothing).”
“It’s these people of the inn — it’s that boy (это /сделали/ эти люди из трактира — это тот мальчишка). I wish I had put his eyes out (жаль, что я не выдавил ему глаза; to wish — желать, хотеть, мечтать; to put — помещать; to put out — удалять)!” cried the blind man, Pew (вскричал слепой, Пью). “They were here no time ago (они были здесь недавно) — they had the door bolted when I tried it (они заперли дверь, когда я пробовал ее /открыть/). Scatter lads, and find ’em (разделитесь, парни, и найдите их; to scatter — разбросать, разбить; ’em = them).”
“Sure enough, they left their glim here (без сомнения /они были здесь/, они оставили свою свечу здесь; glim — свет, лампа, свеча),” said the fellow from the window (сказал человек из окна).
