Preface
Back in the days of yore, between the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, a wizard named Lear lived in the beautiful land of Ireland. His life was unusual and full of trials. The majestic Lear was imprisoned by Queen Serlaila, who longed to use his unique magical abilities to conquer new lands. Lear repeatedly saved the queen from insidious plots, predicting her future and helping her overcome her difficulties.
However, few people knew that the wizard Lear found his writing vocation by accident. Tormented by boredom and a thirst for creativity, he decided to write fairy tales inspired by letters sent to him by his beloved Miretta. In these letters she told him of her adventures and her search for magic, dreaming of a reunion with Lear.
One day Queen Serlaila read some of these tales and, admiring their beauty, decreed that Lear must compose two tales a week. Otherwise, she threatened to deprive the wizard of a finger for each tale that failed to meet the deadline. Incredibly, Miretta, this brave and dedicated soul, spent nearly fifteen years traveling, exploring the world and gathering inspiration for new stories of magic. She hoped that one day she would be able to reunite with her beloved Lear and give him her own amazing stories.
So begins our story of the wizard Lear, his magical abilities, his creative path and the great love that overcomes time and obstacles. Immerse yourself in the world of magic and fairytale adventures that await us on the pages of this book.
Tales of the Wizard Lyr: Decebal's Magical Experiments
Many of the citizens of Bucharest considered Decebal to be a very mysterious figure. Although none of them were wizards, rumors of his magical abilities quickly spread throughout the city. Unfortunate idlers and chatterers with no better occupation widely discussed what was going on outside the doors of his house. Many times the guards at the prince's court visited his home, but never found anything suspicious. Decebal was a skilled wizard, able to hide things that were better not seen by ordinary people.
One of his passions was magical experimentation. As a teenager, he crossbred vegetables with fruits and even trees. Later, his interests turned to more serious projects, such as creating hybrid animals. Unfortunately, animals of this kind did not live long. Being a scientist in the sixteenth century was highly honorable, but Decebal refused to work for the "crown," for which he was repeatedly tried to be punished. He had a unique magical talent and could use it even without a magic wand. Of course, without this magic item, his abilities were limited, but he could always defend himself.
Among wizards, Decebal was known and respected. He strove to be recognized by the magical world. Every wizard in Romania knew his name, but over time they began to avoid him and pretend no one was home when he visited. The reason was the rumors of the scientist's new experiments. It was said that he was looking for wizards willing to be part of his dangerous scheme. Many wizards and sorceresses feared that one day Decebal would hunt them down. And, as it turned out, the rumors were not without merit.
